Fernworthy

It is recorded in the Road Motor Log Book that the scout drove the utilicon (BEE 2247) to Fernworthy on 2nd August, 1990, where it was parked from 0912 to 1310.

He photographed the very depleted reservoir and then carried on past the ruined Teignhead Farm to the source of the North Teign.

The water was lower still in 2016, when this beautiful photograph was taken.

Fernworthy and the bridge are seen on this 25 in. survey.

River and Railway

The site of the works yard and the course of the tramway remain beneath the dam, which was completed in 1942. These photographs were taken in August, 2020, when the scout had ridden from Christow.
